Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Leaked? PlayStation Phone Specs Revealed

After months of speculation about the so-calledSony Ericsson Xperia Play (aka PlayStation Phone), Engadget finally got its hands on what is allegedly a prototype of the phone and has posted specs and photos of the device.
Based on Engadget's hands-on analysis, this combination smartphone/portable-gaming device features a 4-inch touchscreen that slides up horizontally, revealing a gaming control panel that Engadget likens to a PlayStation DualShock gamepad.
The device also sports a webcam and is probably packing a single-core CPU. Engadget suspects that the Xperia Play will run Google's Android 2.3 (aka Gingerbread) operating software. The device is likely feature 3G capabilities and may even function as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The leaked prototype also revealed slots for a SIM card and a microSD card.
Still a mystery: pricing and access to an app store or game store.
Engadget cautions that these specs are subject to change and predicts that Sony will launch a finalized version of the device in February, during the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona.
