Windermere Mayor Knocked Unconscious After Altercation At Town Hall Meeting (VIDEO)

A small Florida town made famous by Tiger Woods'notorious car crash in 2009 is in the headlines again on Wednesday following an altercation at a town hall meeting that left the mayor unconscious.
Gary Bruhn, mayor of Windermere, Florida, was attending a Town Council meeting on Tuesday night to discuss a recent controversy over the uncovering of routine disappearances of guns, drugs and money from evidence lockers at the town's police department. The trend has drawn extra scrutiny following the arrest of former Police Chief Daniel Saylor in January on charges of blocking a child rape investigation involving an acquaintance.
Bruhn spoke out against Town Manager Cecelia Bernier and encouraged her termination in the wake of the latest scandal, My Fox Orlando reports. Bernier's husband, Roland, later responded with allegations of his own, which Bruhn denied outright.
After the meeting, WFTV reports, Bernier approached Bruhn in a confrontation that allegedly led to the mayor being knocked unconscious.
According to the Associated Press:
Officials say it not clear whether Mayor Gary Bruhn fell or was pushed Tuesday night as he exchanged words with Roland Bernier. But he crashed into a table and fell to the floor, where he was briefly unconscious.
Whatever the cause of the injury, Bruhn left the meeting in a stretcher after being treated by paramedics.
