Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a fierce critic of “socialism” programs like Medicare, enjoyed a ride on the publicly funded Washington, DC Metro recently, as seen in this photo sent to Politico’s Ben Smith by a reader:
Earlier this year, Paul voted against restoring $150 million in funding that Republicans had proposed cutting from the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority. Hopefully after Paul’s safe ride, he’ll now reconsider the wisdom of that vote.
