George Lucas Produced Tuskegee Airmen Movie To Come Out In 2012

LOS ANGELES — Famed director of Star Wars George Lucas has announced he will be producing a movie on the Tuskegee Airmen.

The Tuskegee Airmen are the African American flying brigade that fought in World War II.

After delays, the movie called “Red Tails,” has finally been given a release date of January 2012 and will star Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard.

  1. Bout Phucking Time! But don't forget they already made one a few years ago as well but this looks more detailed and better budgeted.

    Can't hate on the man for doing what we should do just support it, I know I will!

    Met one of these gentlemen when I was 27, however he has long since past I remember the stories and the passion in his voice about those times.

    Just by watching this trailer Lucas has gotten a lot right, for one, the man I spoke with stated that they really did not get them new planes but something in between which the men there made almost new. So new, if you look at the trailer again notice that the black pilots were fight Germans who had the first jet engines and the best tech in the world at that time. True statement. However, the mechanics were so good they made Piston planes keep up with German jet fighters!

    Review the clip for yourself, it was also told to me by a real airmen!
